They say that food is art...well in that case art can also be 'food' for the soul - especially when its made with ...L.O.V.E! This week's blog is to highlight a very talented and incredible artist - her name is Tracy and she has mastered the fine artistic style of paper filigree, which she learnt whilst living in Luxembourg and each piece is made using elements sourced from Germany, France and Belgium.Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs...Her specialty is to make the traditional Jewish blessings for the home, called The Hamsa (or protective hand) - she makes all her artwork by hand and each one is incredibly beautiful and unique. The customer can decide if they want a medium or big-sized art piece and to an extent what colours and shape you want...however Tracy flourishes when she is left to do her own thing. Each completed piece comes framed as pictured above in a stunningly modern, white frame that makes the magical and soulful art shine! So, visit http://www.ravissant.co.za for more details (she also has a Facebook page) or email Tracy directly at [email protected] if you desire a quote or more information...lets spread the word of this talented "chef of the soul"
